drive goes up and down. Does not stop on own limits started looking and found cracked and broken wires on trim position switches. can these be by-passed and run by manually stopping or am I going to be spending a lot more money on parts.(1989 alpha 1 gen one 350 magnum 270 hp.)I know for safeties sake this should be replaced and is there a less expensive alternative.
Thanks in advance I have found your knowledge, resources and advice invaluable in making boating safer and more affordable.

Re: alpha first gen trim position

Ayuh,... I never even installed the limter, or the sender on my boat....
Sounds like your's has already been by-passed inside the boat,... 'cause it Works...;)

When starting or on the trailer, or Maybe when puttin' at idle,.. You have to be Careful...
Once At Speed,... There's No way to over-trim without Blowing out the prop....
