Hi I am having problems with my 15hp evinrude, starts up fine idles good put into forward(have steering wheel and single lever controls) and will run, sometimes with a hesitation or bog and die, when i shift back to neutral it stays in forward, but if i shift to reverse then back to neutral it will go into neutral. tried to adjust under the cowl but this is the best i could get it. I thought it was fuel causing th bog and stall so i rebuilt the carb , fuel pump but still does the same thing. has good compression. checked has spark at both cylinders. was wondering if it has something to do with the shift shaft that goes to the lower unit as i had the water pump, and lower unit work at the end of the summer last year.does anyone have any ideas? thanks

lower unit work, 99%, some one turn the shift shaft one of two turns. throwing the the linkage off, that is why you are haveing to go the reverse to get neutral.

it is not causing your bogging problem. if carbs are clean, jets removed and spotless, i would do a link n sinc.
