Hey I do believe your motor is a 1972. You have almost the same motor as me. Mine is a 1972 80hp 800 2 stroke 4 cylinder, as is yours if I am right. About the spark problems, I can't really help there because I am having the same problems. Why I am not getting spark is because of broke piece in the distributor cap. I am not sure if this helps, but it has taken a lot of time to figure out what was going on with mine. I hope you figure out what is wrong with yours. Best of luck!! Parts for this motor are so expensive.
