need help with my Minn Kota PowerDrive v2

can anybody tell me how to run my transducer wire up the shaft. since the shaft slides i'm scratching my head and not getting nowhere. I know that somebody had ran in to this issue. Please help want to get this done so I can take the boat out.

Another poster just ran it up the coiled power cord.

Nope -- it doesn't work that way. Here is the way it's done. Follow the instructions to the "T". Warning: The transducer cable must not be zip tied below the steering collar. It must be free to slide otherwise you cannot deploy the motor and risk damaging the cable.
