i got this johnson engine and wanna rebuild it

but i don't know the type and year
i hope some one can help me

i have found this on the engine

might wanna see if you can find any other numbers...doesn't match anything i'm looking up. and i'm looking at 1922-2009

That is a very strange thing. The water pump is not a standard item. What this looks like to me is a lower unit from some Johnson engine, with an adapted engine from some other maker. The water pump is someone's way of getting water to the engine.

It is not a standard Johnson, though.

It is a WWII era Johnson POLR-15 military issue motor. 22-horsepower. Based on the service model PO-15 made from 1941 to 1950. The waterpump does indeed look to have been fabricated after the fact, as those motors were a force-feed pump relying on the propeller to push water into the intake.
