I finally got my 15' A-Craft flat bottom with 48hp Evinrude out last weekend. This is my first boat and I have gotton alot of info. and tips on here while fixing it up and getting it ready since Februaury. I only take it into the intercoastal here in NC which is huge if anyone knows the NC coast. I took a test run with my friend/mechanic and it ran great so then I took the family out. Getting to know the NC coast (the graveyard of the atlantic) with the bottom going from shallow to deep at the drop of a hat will take some time for me to get to know so I am sticking to the channel for now. But all in all I have had it out 4 times now and its great and so is this site. We actually had dolphins come right up next to the boat in about 13ft. deep water. Thanks everyone for your help and hope to spend more time on here in the future.
