I have a 88 Mercury blackmax 200hp. I blew an edge off number 2 piston and I am looking at replacing the engine with one that mixes the fuel for different rpms.
I am looking at an engine mercury with EFI, knowing nothing about fuel injection, my question is: does the mercury efi have to have pre mixed fuel or is that what efi does. I assume that the ignition is electronic, but don?t have a clue if the efi manages the fuel to oil ratios.
And is there particular problems with efi? is there particular models i should stay away from?
