Hi again guys, and thanks for all the help you guys provided on my previous questions.

I am having a bit of problems with the idling. It dies not die out or anything, its just when I switch to neutral and it idles, it revs up so high that the motor is so loud, its not understandable. The motor sounds great in both forward and reverse, its just neutral it revs up high it makes your ears hurt. Is something going on here?

The motor is a 1972 Mercury 80 Hp 800 2 stroke 4 cylinder.

That motor should idle at 800-900 RPM in neutral. Check to see that when teh MerControl is in neutral, the throttle cable is pushed up against the idle stop. Also make sure the springs on the carb's throttle plates push them closed, at idle.
