My 1994 Mercury 115hp is spewing blue smoke at all speeds, it is also hard starting, and idles a bit rough. I have read that this could be a carburetor(s) problem but would like to know how to diagnose the problem before I purchase 1 or more carburetor rebuild kits. If it is the carburetor(s) how can I tell if I need to rebuild one or all four.
If the motor has oil injection, check that the oil injection pump is set correctly. The below links may help but it is best to get the OEM shop manual for you motor for guidance.
