Default wakeboard tower install

How do towers affect how the boat planes out? I have a 91 bayliner that I blew the 90 hp outboard on it and replaced it with a heavier 120. The boat planes out fine when wakeboarding, but im worried that a tower will pull the front of the boat up and with the heavier 120 weighing down the back cause it to not plane out. It would be a lot of money and effort if it ends up not working, so I figured I try to get some opinions.

Trim tabs control the rise of the bow (or the drop of the stern) by changing the angle of the water as it passes under your boat.

google it. theres lots of info about it. cant really help you on your original question though.

with a 120 on it....you will be between 17 and 19 feet.

the tower pulling the bow up will be a non-issue.

if it pulls up at take off.....just use the trim to settle the nose.....but most boarders like the big wake thet the high bow throws.

The tower changes the angle of the rope and the center of gravity towards the center/front of the boat. This will improve your planing believe it or not because your attachment is above the motor and in front of the motor.

And remember that trim tabs will destroy a wake that most want when boarding. Consider the PR500 lever for them when not boarding.
