I just got a Mariner long shaft manual start. The cowling says 20 H.P. There is no stamp for model or serial number on bracket, but on the port side of the block is an aluminum stamp about the size of a nickel with the #7224492. I'm assuming it's an '85 or '86 but am not sure. Any help to determine the year and if it is Japanese or American would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
