i am about to do some work for this motor (alot of work) replacing a dryrotted deck and some other misc stuff so it is a little over a weeks worth of work.
the guy figured he would give me 18$ an hour and when i got up to 1,000$ on that then he would give me the motor.

so i am wondering if anyone has any exp with these motors and if this is gonna be worth it for me.
also i forgot to ask him if it is long shaft or short, are there 2 models one being long and one being short?
and my last question is, is this gonna be too much motor for my boat?

i have a 21' glastron trihull with an inboard v6 and the main purpose of this motor would be trolling but also need it if i get into trouble.

if it is too big i will just end up trading it for a 4 stroke 9.9 or an 8

i tried to search a little on the web but i couldnt find too much on this motor

15 hp should be fine as long as the kicker mount is rated for 15 hp or more and is mounted correctly to your boat.

Advantages and disadvantages of using a 2 stroke vs a 4 stroke kicker.

Fuel tank takes up space

Different tank also ensures kicker runs if main tank is contaminated.

Its all personal preference.

I vote for the 15 2 stroke.
