Default 1983 Cuddy-Bow rising & difficult to Ski

I have a 1983 cuddy with a 225 volvo motor, I should have pleanty of power to pull a skiier, or even two skiiers, but when I try, the bow raises so far out of the water, & I drag my skier for a bit before I get enough power to pull them out of the water.. WHAT is wrong with this boat? What can be done to help the boat level out when pulling a skier and not look as it "its about to launch" to outerspace? Was told this boat would easily pull two skiers.. but as I have seen, the boat has a hard time pulling one...

Is your lower unit trim all the way in?

have you pulled skiers before? are you acclerating hard enough? it takes quite a bit to pull someone up. as long as i hammer on my v8 pretty quick, it planes out fast.

How heavy is this cuddy?
Do you have trim tabs?
Do you reach WOT under normal conditions the way it is currently propped?
