Last summer we got a new outboard (2 stroke) and oddly it pulls to right hard. What I mean by that is that if you were let go of the handle, the boat would steer to the right, sharply.
The outboard is centered with the boat as it should and I've never had that experience with any other outboard on that same boat.
All I could do to help the condition was to tighten the steering up a bit but can anyone here explain this?

There should be an adjustable trim lab near the prop to counter act the side torque of the prop.

Before you adjust, however, make sure the boat is properly balanced by distributing weight evenly.

Check it out.

Thanks guys!

The boat/outboard is at our cabin 300 miles away but I'll be there M-day weekend so I'll check it out.

actually, you may be missing the trim tab anode all together. sometimes they do rattle loose and fall off. you might want to bring one with you in case it's gone.
