Hi all,
A good friend recently took his 2-year old Glastron out on the water for the first time this season only to find a seriously bad freeze-induced crack on his engine block. We're discussing his options, and need to know if anyone has any recommendations for marine mechanics that can replace the block - either one that the mechanic buys, or one that my friend finds. We're located in the Charlotte, NC area. NC/SC would be preferred, but if you have a recommendation for somebody in GA, FL, or VA that is just *incredible*, please let me know.

Thank you.

2 years old and a cracked block! Ouch!
I know most places are probably booked up right now but i'll ask around.
There is a guy in Stallings that does re-powers and engine swaps but he works mostly on outboards.
I will ask him about it.I will be going by his shop tomorrow or Wed.
You may call Boaters Marine in Monroe but they looked really busy last week when i picked up some parts.
