Good Evening All! First off I would like to introduce myself, my name is Scott and I'm from Chautauqua,NY and I have an 03' Sea Ray that we just purchased. We went today to launch for the first time and after topping off the fuel tank we noticed that the bilge area had about 1/2 gallon of gas and it was leaking pretty bad from the top of the tank where the sending unit sits. We were able to clean it off enough and see that it was indeed seeping out from the gasket. Are these gaskets generic and a one size fit all or are they designed for the model. It's an 2003 21' Sea Ray Signature. Thanks, Scott

Here is a picture of our boat from a week or so ago.

Sea ray has that gasket. Its about 15 buks. Call a dealer. They will prob have to order it. Its too inexpensive a gasket to go to the trouble of making it. If you can remove the existing gasket take it with you to the dealer to assure you get the right one.

Be sure to disconect battery. Make sure you have arrested any possibilities of static sparks.

Thanks! I got the old gasket off and to be honest it looks pretty good but it's definitely seeping fuel there. What's happening is when you go to tighten down the sending unit the gasket is squishing out and allowing it to seep.
