i have a 1985 14ft bayliner capri bowrider,i want to add storage compartments under bow seating area, under plywood is foam, will it harm boat to take out a 1ft by 1ft 2ft deep of foam for storage ?

That small amount should not be a problem. However, if you want to make this box waterproof it will need to be done before it is installed. Thinking your best route would be to find a pre-made ( fiberglass, etc. ) box as close to your dimensions as possible and install that. My $.02

My new 07 185 has storage in that exact place. My 84 wellcraft had storage in that place as well so Im supprosed that boat you have doesnt have storage there thats weird.


But i think your on the right track to doing the job.
