i have a 1987 johnson 88 that at full throttle go"s back to idle in about 30 seconds then i got to half throdle will run all day

when i run the boat in the water at full throttle it the bout will slow down and the engine will still be running at idle with lever still at full throttle feels like its in netural then i pull the trottle to netural and then back to forward and it will run fine till i get to full throttle
