I have hooked up shore water to my 1972 Chris Craft Constellation. We attached a pressure restrictor ala RV's. Every time we turn on the water we hear a weird vibration sound apparently equalizing pressure? We are not sure if the air sound is air intake and escaping? Ideas?

your pressure regulator may be chattering, try closing the supply shut off at the hose bib at your supply source, to restrict the flow and see iff that helps.
that should lower your gallon per minute flow and help with what i feel is water hammer.

We've pretty much tracked it down to the connection at the hose and ship. Mainly air escaping after use. Doesn't seem to affect anything so its just annoying and I guess we'll ive with it.
