Does anyone know if it would be possible to copy a Navionics Hotmap Premium SD card to a blank SD card? They are pretty spendy so I was thinking I could go together with a friend who wants the same card and just copy it.:)

That would be very illegal, Turk. Better to obey copyright laws.

What JB said, and they are encoded. You need a SD duplicator, which is more than buying another map card.

.....or buy a 06 or 07 model on eBay for 1/2 price. They add lakes every year but you can check out the list /differences at their web site.

The '08 version can be had at numerous places, like Cabela's, for $99, verses $149 for 2009. Also, look into Hotmaps Exporer for PC $20. It has a fair number of the non-HD lakes, and you can view them on the much larger PC screen. You can print maps but you can't upload to GPS. All non-HD maps have limited detail.
