I have a 1996 Merc EFI 150 for about a year now and just recently the motor has been shutting down in both idle and nuetral after running hard for a little while. I have already changed out the empeller and both thermostats w/ the pop its. It ran a little longer before the same results occured. I've been told too replace the water pump and check the water lines leading to the valve heads. This flats boat under my ownership has run in mostly fresh with a dash of salt. Any suggestions???
