1987 70HP Merc ... battery cables question ...

i am sorry if this is a stupid question. i really didn't look very hard but can someone please describe to me where on the engine i am supposed connect the pos and neg battery cables to my 1987 70HP? .... i didn't have this problem with my johnson ....

This should help the - is not shown well it goes to one of the bottom starter mount bolts.
