I have a TS20. Anyone know about these? How bout parts and a breakdown?

It was said to be running 12 years ago. Still has old gas in it. Where do I start?

Re: Ts20

I do not find a TS-20 in my book.

I do find a TS-15 in 1941 and 42. It appears to be a TD-15 lacking some feature that makes it 2LB. lighter and $8.00 cheaper. My guess would be that it is a TD less a recoil starter or a gear shift.

I think there is a chance that it uses TD-20 parts.

Start with that old gas. It probably is like molasses and stinks to high heaven by now. Plain old rubbing alcohol will clean it out. Take a look at the carburetor and hope that old gas wasn't in there too. It probably will need primer seals and a new float. Check the check valve in the carb (the big hex head part), and make sure it flows in one direction only.

Then clean the points. If it has the magneto that I think it has, take the points apart and clean each contact individually. Set them at .020" gap at their widest opening.

I believe that the TS is a TD without a recoil starter. Literally tons of TD's and TN's were built. TN has a neutral clutch.

Yes, it doesn't have the recoil start.

Do I take everything apart and wash with rubbing alcohol? How bout Seafoam? How do I get carb parts or a new carb?
