I just bought me a 2 hp '83 evinrude on craigslist...ready to take it out.

Once I got it home I noticed a small oil leak the next morning on the floor of the garage.

I have not taken it out yet but the guy I bought it from had it in a garbage can running when I got there so I did not see any leaks until I got it home and looked the next morning.

It was not much and it was not just straight black oil but pretty close - there was a milky area.

I am a novice when it comes to boat motors so I hope this site will help me out.
