A typical 3,4, 5 right triangle.<br /><br />3^2+4^2=X^2<br /><br />9+16=X^2<br /><br />25=X^2<br /><br />5^2=X^2<br /><br />5=x<br /><br />Ken

I think you guys missed the point.<br /><br />The student understood the question to be, "Where is x?" rather than, "What is the value of x."<br /><br />Thinking outside the box.
