at 3000 rpms left motor stars to shake and will not go over 3100 rps I checked the prop and drained all the carbs to no avail?? any ideas

what exactly does that mean, you have twin engines and the left one shakes?

Sounds like its going into SLOW rpm limit, it should run at an rpm limit of 2500 but if its a twin the good un is dragging it along.

When you turn the ignition on does the ignition give a test beep.?

You should be getting an alarm too if this is whats happening, unplug the wire from the heat sensor and ground it to the block, buzzer should sound.

Plugs possibly could be fowled. Faulty coil, bad wire maybe? whens the last time plugs at least where replaced?

Does it start easily?

start with the basics, compression check, spark check. when were the carbs last cleaned and rebuilt? could be clogged high speed jets. do both motors run off the same tank?

Yes there are twins . It starts and runs fine but when I get to 3000RPMs it starts to shake like it has a bad miss they both run off the same tank ??

There are twins and both run off the same tank plugs look good but I am going to change?? How to check the coil?? and I have no alarm sounding ?? carbs were leaking but I removed and torked now no more leaks but I didn't blow air through any jets?? should I take off and clean the jets??

Just did a comp check 110 on all cylinders plugs are dark and some build up?? Help!!

use only this thead, all others have been merged to it.

take an induction timing light with you. check your spark on every cylinder, when it is shaking.
