I have a 1976 Evinrude 35hp motor that won't start. I had it running a few weeks back and it acted like a carb problem. While running it acted up and died like you would have killed the switch. Found needle stuck in seat and had a rebuilt kit put in----still won't crank up. I have two new spark plugs, great fire from the coils and the plugs, new fuel, and a rebuilt carb. Seem to have good compression. Is there some other things I could look into before I take it to a boat mechanic?
