I have a 2007 50HP Mercury, scarcely run-in (20 hours service). At low speeds and idling it makes a whistling noise - like a lightweight dry bearing. My dealer consulted the importer (here in France) and subsequently lubricated a bearing. That was OK for about an hour !! He's back in touch with the importer, but I wonder if anyone else is familiar with this problem?
