I 'm planning on taking my boat to Panama city & putting her in the ocean next week on vacation, it will be the her 1st bath in the ocean.I'm planning on flushing the 140 mercruiser with ear muffs every day I take her out I will not be leaving her in salt water overnight. I've heard some say don't put your boat in the ocean. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I grew up in Daytona Beach and used my boat in salt water weekly. As long as you rinse her thoroughly after use and flush the engine after every use the boat will last a long time. I even owned a sail boat that never left the water and was docked all of its life. All I ever did was scrape barnacles off the boat every year, use bottom paint, and wash it weekly. That boat is still in service and has not had any problems. Your short vacation won't phase your boat a bit, just wash and flush and you should be fine. Have fun!

Watch the weather, we have been having some really bad winds across the state..Big prolonged gusts...Could make an ugly day..
