Closed cooling system inquiry

Hi I recently bought an 87 Bayliner 1950 with Volvo Penta Aq131a 275 outdrive. I am trying to figure out a little about this boat package. What is the difference between the closed cooling system that is on mine and a raw water cooling system? Thanks

All marine engines have a raw water cooling system, some also have a closed cooling system for the engine block which has antifreeze in it. But the antifreeze side of the sytem is cooled by the raw water side.

Ok now Im on to the next thing. I know what to put in the drive and how much but not to sound dumb where do you fill it up at? Next does anyone know where i can find a replacement sea water filter located by the heat exchanger? Any input is always appreciated
