I have 87 mercruiser 165 hp inboard /out board engine.I'm having a problem that the batteries are not charging it has a strator on it and regulator how do i test which one is bad ,the battiers are only 2yr old. The volt meter says it's charging but battieres arn't charging. Before i purchase a new battery is there a way to test it.

My first post here. I've got the exact same problem. However, I did waste $70 on a new battery.
