I have been informed that one of the bravo 2 trim cylinders on the port outdrive needs to be replaced due to corrosion. When I looked at the port outdrive to see at the corrosion damage, I also looked over at the starboard outdrive for comparison and I noticed grounding wires from the trim cylinders connected to the gimbal assy. When I inspected the damaged port outdrive there were no grounding wires connected from the trim cylinders to the gimbal assy. Could these grounding wires been effected by corrosion and eaten away ??
The boat is docked in saltwater for the season.
The port motor and gimbal assembly were removed for service 3 seasons ago.
