Does anyone know where I can get parts for a 1949 Johnson QD-10 outboard? It was my Father's and I would love to get it going again.:) I would be intersted in rings, bearings, gaskets, waterpumps, carburetor kits, and even paint and decals.
Can anyone help me please?

I think these motors are kind of an orphan, being only built for two years. You might try to google Twin City outboard.

You may be surprised what long established dealers sometimes have. I picked up a couple of parts for my 1926 Evinrude locally! Other than that Type in "Antique Outboards" in your search engine and check out the Antique Outboard Owners Club.

Decals and original color paint (not cheap, but good stuff): nymarine.ca
parts: free ad on aomci.org laingsoutboards.com ebay
You first need to find yourself a parts manual, which folks may be able to help you with if you ask. I don't have any of those myself.
What country are you from? nymarine.ca is in Canada
That's a neat motor and even neater that it was your dad's.
Good luck,
JBJ
