Default Evinrude 150 Spark Plug Wires

I just replaced my spark plug wires and now I have no spark to my pugs! I made up my own wires with a kit reusing my old boots. I used new copper ignition wire. Is there a trick I need to know to make this work. I have never made plug wires up before but I am an electrician so I thought I should be able to handle it. Thanks

you probably do not have good connections. i usually strip back some wire and wrap around the connector.

Possible the barb (pointed) ends missed the wire core when you inserted them. Bombardier recommend a special core wire, sold in bulk by Bombardier dealers, part # 772584. Sold by the foot.
