Hello,
I am new to this forum and I have read quite a few posts. So here it goes.
I can't get the Bendex to reliably and consistently jump out of the starter motor and make contact with the fly wheel. These are the things that I have done.

1) Charged and load tested the batteries. (All Good)
2) Cleaned battery posts with wire brush. (All nice and shiney)
3) Cleaned battery wire connectors (All nice and shiney)

Problem: When I turn the key the starter motor just spins the bendex and it doesn't jump up and contact the fly wheel.

4) I have sprayed the bendex with WD40.

Now I can get the Bendex to jump up and contact the fly wheel after I give the starter motor a couple of taps on the outside casing. Now I know it says not to do this but damn... Nothin else worked.

So my question : Is it time for a new starter motor ?
