Over heating

Hello I'm new to this site and seen that there is a lot of good info. so thaught i would post the problem that i'm having with my motor. It is a 1997 force 15 HP and it heats up when running. So I took the impeller out and it looked brand new. I'm not sure what else to check, maybe a thermostat? Any sugestions are appreciated.

Not knowing that engine myself but i would check to make sure the water pump not slipping on the drive shaft and check for any clogs in the cooling system. If you have compressed air blow through the cooling system.

I would also recommend a repair manual. They come in handy for such problems.
