I have a Cobia odyssey 195 vbr 400 series that's been sitting for about 3-4 years now and i'm wondering what all i should do before attempting to start it. From the little research i've done i've gone ahead and drained the old gas out of the carb, replaced the spark plugs, replaced the battery and attempted to drain the gas tank (if anyone knows a good way to do this, i'd appreciate a little guidance). Any other helpful hints or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

How big is your gas tank, and how much gas is in it? If there isn't much gas in it just fill it and see if it will run. Mine sat for 3 years and ran it just like it was. Had quite a bit of water in the separator the first few times I changed it but haven't had any Have heard that octane booster will help too.problems with the motor.
