I have read a million posts here on oil injection problems and lots of good replies, however as far as removing the pump I see a kit is available from Mercury to cover the hole left in the crank case but no mention of where to get it. Can someone tell me the model number and where I can get this? Thanks Bob Ventura

Re: 1988 Mariner 75hp

I just checked my parts and service bulletins and did not find anything. The most common practice around here is the pump drive is removed and the pump reinstalled to cover the hole.

Thanks for the reply. Do you pinch off the oil line going into the fuel pump, and are there any sensors to bypass? Bob

We remove everything not in use and plug off the fitting holes the only sensor is in the oil tank just unplug it when removing the tank.
