vinyl problem

My boat is 15 years old and the vinyl is seperating in the cabin and hanging down. It appears that the foam on the inside of the vinyl is breaking down.
I'm planning on vacing out the foam and gluing the vinyl back up--what do you think????? Suggestion are most welcome.
