I purchased a 1998 Mariner 50HP outboard (#OG64832) and installed it on my boat. The controls came with it and they are a 2007 edition which has the pigtail for the Smartcraft monitor. If I were to purchase this SC1000, will it work with that motor? I know that I do have temperature, low oil and other sensors on the motor but am not sure if the monitor would work properly. I am sure that there are smarter people than me out there, can anyone answer this for me?
