Will and alignment tool for a alpha 1 drive work for a Volvo SX drive? If they are not all the same what should I be looking for on e-bay to pick one up.

What is the input shaft seal? Is that the seal behind the gimbal bearing?

Thanks

Yes, they are all the same.
The input shaft seal is the seal in the outdrive around the ujoint yoke.

Thanks Don for the quick response. I pulled my drive after I found the lube was milky colored. The bellows looked good, but there was water/lube in the bellow. I saw in your winterizing handout that if you have this problem it might be a leaking shaft seal.

Yes, a leaky shaft seal would let gear lube into the bellows.

Yes, it was grease in the bellow and not gear lube since the grease in the bellows was not white. So hopefully the bellow was not seated properly, but will vacuum test the drive to be sure. I will look for the mercury spline grease.

Thanks for all the help...this forum is awesome for newbies like myself.
