test for coils

Hi all I have a 83 DT 85 and one coil was bad so I replaced it and my question is would it be a fair test of the other 2 coils to do a spark test on all 3 coils and compare results with the new coil? Would this tell me if the other coils are weak and need replacing. thanks in advance for any help you can give me

It sounds reasonable to me, but I'm thinking the coils do not slowly go bad...they're good or bad. Someone else can chime in with more knowledge however.
