Default Leadtime for parts

I have an 06 fs185 I bought new last Febuary, the Tach stopped working after about 40 hours. The dealer I bought it has since gone out of buisness. I took the boat to a non Lowe dealer to get it winterized last October, they tested the tach and said it was faulty. I since tracked down the new Lowe dealer, made an appointment, And dropped it off. 3 weeks have gone by with no word, I called this week and the tach is on order from Lowe, but they dont know when it will be here, could be 4-6 weeks.

Has anyone else had to replace a gauge, or wait for a part from Lowe? is this a reasonable amount of time? Am I going to have to pay somthing out of my pocket after all this?

I have already had another dealer replace the ignition switch at my expense because it was a safety concern(wouldnt shut off).

I love this boat, but im growing concerned I bought the wrong one.

I bought a stinger 175 new last July and had serious problems with livewell plumbing. Same leaked so that bilge would flood in short time.

My dealer also went out of business and left me high and dry. Worked with Lowe in MO. and they sent all parts (o rings-prefitted hoses etc) to my house at no cost and I used a boat repair shop to do the repairs. Repair was not small as gas tank, battries and part of deck had to removed. I paid the shop sent the reciept to Lowe and they sent me a check.

It took serveral phone calls but they did make good and in short order.

Thats good to hear that Lowe made it right for you. My FM165 is in the shop right now for a livewell problem. The the water pumps in faster than it goes out the overflow so if im not careful it will run over the top into the boat.

The Manufacturer of the Gauges has been on a shut down due to slow economy, and therefore on backorder to Lowe. It's going to ship this week ,Should all be taken care of in a few weeks, under warranty, which is 2 yrs on the gauges.

I brought the boat home the otherday minus the tach, I couldnt stand it anymore, and with long weekend coming up it had to be done. This time last year i had at least 4 trips in already.

Lowe customer service guy was great, he tracked down the order for the tach, phoned my repair shop and approved the warranty, and called me back in 5 quick mins.

Update: Dealer called this afternoon to tell me my boat is ready. He said that the wrong pump (750 gph) was installed at the factory and they changed it out for a 500 gph.

Anyone out there have a fm165 that you could take a look at the livewell pump to verify this for me?? Thanks in advance.
