Hello all. Any good tips for cleaning the props, shafts, and rudders from my newest project boat? It has been sitting in salt water for a while(most likely, all its life).

Other than the obvious nuematic wire wheel, is there anything that I should spray on it first to help loosen? The shafts, I'm sure, are stainless. The props brass? The rudders, no idea. Maybe one of you inboard pros can chime in here. The boat is an 88 Sea Ray 300 Weekender w/ twin 5.7's.

Thanks
Jim

it would have been best at the time of retrieval, to pressure washs heck out of it. now it is to the wire wheel and scraping, sanding. get a good mask and eye protection, gloves.
