I have an 88 XR2 150 black max. The timing advance/idle stabilization module is toast(wires shorted to inboard switch box. Basically I have pulled the module and plan on running without, since they are not available. Does the timing need to be set differently, or can it run as is. Thanks for any info.

Thanks, glad to know I will be ok. Gonna try to run it within the next week. Will let you know how it runs.
