I have a 2005 Mercury 50 hp with a single ram trim & tilt which is limited in the height the tilt ram will extend while underway (about 20 degrees) at high rpm's due to the tilt pressure dropping when the tilt relief valve openings up.
I see in my service manual the factory wants it torqued to 120 lbs....can I torque it higher and increase the pressure is takes to activate the valve?
