Re: trim guage

Bman, I had the exact problem with my 87 force 125 last month. I turned the ignition switch on, took a light tester, went to the sending unit on back of boat, both wires showed hot. A mechanic said I had a faulty ground. Went back to the gauge, installed a ground wire to the "G" post, connected the other end to a known grd under the dash. Gauge works perfect now. Hope this helps you.

Re: trim guage

Thanks for the reply, but my guage the needle is laying off to one side, broken.Told that any trim would work, but never put one in, don't want to but wrong one and try to take back a electrical guage as lot of places won't return electrical parts. On another note my rpm guage is not working, what do I check for on that if you know?? Thanks
