hello and good day. i have been given a outboard and would like to know the year, mix and what is a good set of plugs to run in it. the model # FD-16A serial # 2261276. thank you

It's a 1962. Use 24:1 fuel/oil ratio. TC-W3 is best. Champion J6-C plugs.

My book calls for J4C plugs at .030".

You can probably use either, but the J6C would work better for low speed operation and trolling. Use the J4C for high speed operation.

Another free outboard... Sigh... way to go... I wish I got free engines! The 18's are excellent engines... Great power/weigh ratios. I have several of them :)
