The VHF Radio I just bought has a male/female pin plug on either wire. Do I need to keep these plugs or can I simply cut them off and wire straight to the main fuse bar/box ?

I'm thinking I can but want to make certain before I start cutting.

many thanx..:)

Re: VHF Wires

You can certainly cut them off, but then how are you going to remove the unit from the boat without unwiring it each time?

The fuse panel has either screw terminals or spade terminal connections. You disconnect them the same way you connected them. Plugs are not necessary and actually invite corrosion.
