I just bought a used xpress x-18 with a mlercury xr6 150 3003 modles....Well at WOT 5600 rpms, I shoot about a 20 foot wave from the middle of my boat, back. I am only hitting 50mph WOT. I know that this is slowing me down probably 10mph bc i have sooooooo much boat in the water at WOT. Well I just went and bought a jackplate....it is a CMC 5.5" manual jackplate. It was $250 at Bass Pro.. CAn somebody tell me two things, Will this solve my issue of shooting a wake so far from the side of my boat, AND what to expect from this jackplate? I no nothing about them! Thanks!:confused:

PS- I am trimmed right at WOT..........

One more thing....I am hitting 5600rpms with my boat. The stock prop that came on this boat is a 4 blade 23 pitch.. The first owner cracked the prop and bought a 23 pitch 3 blade tempest plus prop instead of the 4 blade....with my jackplate installed, and me raising my motor up, want my rpms go OVER 5600 with a three blade prop?? The max rpms for my engine is 5600.....I dont want to mess anything up?? Thanks!
